Custom Synthesis

The efficient synthesis of high quality, complex organic molecules is a key Tocris capability. We specialise in complex, multi-stage custom synthesis and are capable of supplying milligram to kilogram quantities of key intermediates, including scaffolds, building blocks, metabolites and API's. We can assist with the synthesis of products or prepare ranges of analogues, using either existing methodologies or design routes to compounds of interest.
We specialise in complex multi-stage custom synthesis and supply mg to Kg quantities of key intermediates, including scaffolds, building blocks, metabolites, analogues and API's.
Over 90% of our chemistry group are PhD qualified and have vast experience in the synthesis of a diverse range of biologically active compounds. In particular, the breadth of our experience sets us apart from the competition – our chemists routinely work on a variety of projects including heterocycles, nucleosides, amino acids and asymmetric synthesis. Since no two projects are the same, these qualities provide us with an unrivalled capability to plan and execute multi-step syntheses of complex compounds.
The customer always comes first and we are committed to meeting your expectations by delivering a cost effective, on time solution to your custom synthesis requirements. We know the importance of communication, and throughout the project we will provide updates and a comprehensive set of reports and analytical data as required. Respect for intellectual property is also an integral part of our business model and we fully respect client confidentiality.
Typical services include:
  • Custom synthesis of specific targets (including intermediates, single enantiomers, scaffolds, building blocks, metabolites & API's)
  • Route selection and development
  • Scale up of lead compounds
